I didn’t use Audirvana for a while because of the SACD complications. In the meantime I converted all SACD-images to multichannel ALAC-files (Apple lossless). Today I updated to Audirvana 3.0.6. All 5.1 tracks are playing correctly, but all other multichannel files like 4.0 are playing as stereo files. In the List-view I can see, that there are no audio-informations. No channels, no bitrate, no resolution. These informations are shown with 5.1-multichannel and stereo files.
All the 4.0 and 5.0 audiofiles (mainly from the old Quadro-Vinyls and Q8-cassettes) are playing fine in the VOX-audioplayer (by coppertino inc.). So I think theres something wrong with Audirvana. Why doesn’t it read the audio-informations in the file? I tested some of them in the MediaInfo.app and it always shows the right number of channels, resolutions and bitrates without problems.
