Hi, i’m new to Audirvana, i’m a ROON Lifer, but curious.
Roon has the ability to integrate the Oratory 1990 EQs for headphones, which makes a big difference in SQ to me.
Can i integrate them in Audirvana, too?
Welcome…
The Accurate Sound “Hangloose Convolver” (HLC) plug-in (Audirvāna) should accept those Oratory EQ files… I suggest contacting Mitch at Accurate Sound for a definitive answer… He is a contributor here on the forum.
If you look at the autoeq.app at https://autoeq.app it will create a target eq for a dozen or so equalizers… Including convolution and several others that are VST or AA type plugins that most likely run on the various host versions of Audirvana…
PS- I use the Hang Loose Convolver with FIR filters for Digital Room Correction… IMHO it is the best available…
personally i don’t use eqs and etc… i prefer the sound native natural
Whereas HLC seems a bit ambitious for me, Soundsource as suggested by AutoEQ looks good. So Soundsource works independent from Audirvana, right? I toggle different EQs for different Headphones on and off inside Soundsource, and this sits between Audirvana and the usb-C output or the LAN-Output ?
Will Audirvana let any other App control the output?
I have no experience with Soundsource… So I can’t say what it will or won’t do…
Audirvana can host up to 4 VST or AA signal processing plugins… That is where I would suggest you focus your efforts…
PS - If you told us more about your entire signal chain we might be able to provide more suggestions…
I believe what @Ddude003 is alluding to with the AutoEQ suggestion, is to pick the results of an EQ option in AutoEQ, like, the Parametric EQ option, and then print-out or save the .PDF of the settings and then apply these settings to your choice of available EQ from myriad of plug-ins in the marketplace, within the Audirvāna plug-in module…
My chain: MacMini m4 into Node Icon, using Dirac into Atoll IN300 to Epos 14n.
Headphones: Mac into Burson Conductor to AKG K812 and Arya Stealth.
Still have an Innuos Zenith Streamer, but that is to be sold.
@Mars, Thank you for the info about your kit!!! It looks like you are set with Dirac for your loudspeakers/room… As for your headphone setup on a Mac you could use one of the free apple plugins like AU N-Band EQ… It may already be on your Mac… You just need a “host” to use it… Audirvana being such a host or something like the Hang Loose Host… In fact the Hang Loose Host even works with Roon…
OK, i understand … at least I start to
Copying the Data from the AutoEQ-File to N-Band EQ I have a question:
GAIN = PEGEL, that is clear. But is Q = BREITE (Width)?
And is Filter LS the same as Lowshelf, and HS = Highshelf?
![N-Band|665x500]
Yes to your assumptions about Q and LS & HS… Looks like you have it figured out… Good job!!! Now sit back and enjoy your audio nirvana…
