Yes, the lock/unlock button in no way gives any meaning of “stop” in the way an actual stop button would. It really is poor UI/UX.
It needs a stop button, and it’s a barrier to purchase for me.
Come on. I agree with you, all my life used players with classic stop button. But after one year of usage I am quite familiar with AS look. The main reason of using it is the sound quality. The padlock release the dac/stop the track but I have no problem using pause button (usb dac). For example play a song, press pause then play for example another album - it should work without crash in most cases. There are free players (remember the old Winamp?) with tons of skins and posibilities to customize the interface. Just a thought.
