I am trying to stream from Audirvana Studio MACOS (Ventura) to an Advance Paris WTX-Streamtube streamer. With 16bit files everything goes smooth, however when trying to play 24bit files, the stream either stops afeter a few seconds or is not playing at all. Streaming 24bit via UPnP from other sources/software to the WTX streamer works without any problems. When streaming from Audirvana to other streamers there is also no issues. Audirvana and WTX seems to be a “toxic combination”.
I tried to change all settings in Audirvana for the WTX streamer, the only one working is to limit the stream to 16bit.
In light of your diagnosis I would contact Advance Paris and explain your issue and see if they have any history of the product working with Audirvana Studio. Does seem to be a compatibility issue in the UPnP implementations of AS and your streamer in light of your ability to stream from AS to other streamers OK. Their website has a link to contact support.

The Debug info suggests that both are sent as a 24bit stream. And that the 96khz is sent as 48khz. If you set Max sampling frequency to 48khz. Can you play a 24bit file?
Make sure your DAC is set as the output device in Audio MIDI Setup and set to the maximum sample-rate ( 24/192kHz)…
You have 6 local devices connected which includes Black Hole, and this configuration may be forcing clock master sample-rate conformity, as Black Hole competes with Audirvana for Core Audio control.
You might also like to lower your playback pre-load memory allocation to 6GB for best performance…

Actually, the 24bit file was not 96kHz file, but a 24/48 file. I noted that wrongly. Nevertheless limiting the DAC input to 48kHz does not do anything for the 24 bit files.

The DAC is not directly connected to the computer, but is part of a streamer connected to the computer via the WLAN/LAN network. I can check on Black Hole however I would be wondering why a competition for core audio would depend on the bit rate.

Bit-depth will be set in Audio MIDI Setup or some least common denominator device bit-depth set in Black Hole…
Core Audio does not handle multiple bit-depths or sample-rates simultaneously. All devices need to handle a common file format.
If the track is 24/48 then it matches the Debug info and I didn’t say anything 
Then there is no point in testing.
If you upsample the 16/44.1 to 48kHz, does that still work? And to 88.1 and 96?
And it concerns local, Qobuz and Tidal 24bit files. These all have the same effect?

In the meantime I am quite sure that the problem sits with Audirvana:
Today I was playing though “Volumio” for a change. When playing 16 bit everything was OK. When playing 24 bit again, Audirvana indicator stopped playing after couple of seconds, although Volumio kept on playing and Volumio indicator showed that it kept playing.
After that happened I could not get Audirvana to play with Volumio anymore. No matter if 16bit or 24 bit. So I tried to play Volumio from mConnect or BubbleUPnP from my phone. No problem at all!
I had to reboot Volumio to be able to play from Audirvana again.
Finnally, I was streaming from Audirvana via “ifi ZEN Stream”, and no problems occurred at all!
Sorry guys , but I just want to listen to music, and things need to be either running smoothly (as with ifi) or at least the software needs to tell me what is wrong.
I do not want to act as a system tester.

That’s odd, can you go in the Audirvāna settings and in the My account section? You will see a button ‘Start Log Session’, click on it and then reproduce your issue. After you reproduced it, click on ‘Stop Log Session’ and then send me the log file you can find by clicking on the button ‘Open Log Folder’ at support@audirvana.com
