I was one of the beta testers for this product. The only issue I have found with Audirvana so far is that Studio does not appear to auto-detect that the Airlens is an MQA decoder. Works fine if you toggle that setting manually though.

I use the PS Audio Airlens and Audirvana has issues finding the unit the next day. I can see it is still plugged into my Orbi router via ethernet but I have to turn the Airlens off and on for Audirvana to find it. It has no problems finding all of the other uPnP devices in my home.
I have not experienced that so not sure what to suggest, aside from making sure your firmware is up-to-date. And possibly rebooting the router, if you haven’t. is there anything between the computer running audirvana and the orbi router, such as a switch?
Antoine/Damien: Is there any progress with this partnership already? I noticed that the volume settings in Audirvana Origin do not work properly in conjunction with the AirLens.
Antoine/Damien: The same with me. Especially when there is no music playing it is losing the Airlens UPnP connection somehow, and I have top put the AirLens off and on again, to make it accessible again.
the last update to Audirvana Studio seemed to help. I started it up quite a few times and it connected immediately. But just now I had to search for it. Took about 15 minutes. Do UPnP devices have a protocol on how often they announce themselves on the network? Or how long they look for each other???
I was just reading the Airlens manual from 2023 and they suggested to connect it directly to your router instead of a switch, so I did, and I will see if that will help. In principle it should not make a difference, but you never known. I don’t know your situation, but if you have the same you could try this too. One other thing I would try, if this doesn’t work, is to try to give the AirLens a fixed IP adres in my router based on the mac address from the Airlens, but I have to figure out where I can find that Mac address first.
I have my Airlens directly hooked up via ethernet to my Netgear 970. Airlens is always on. I join my network via WiFi. As a side note, Tidal Connect always sees the Airlens. Tidal Connect does not sound as good as Audirvāna. I will try to give it a fixed address but if it is always on it should always have the same IP address.
A difficult one, this problem. Hopefully Damien, or Antoine can help. I already reached out for help to PS Audio and Antoine that they should work together to solve the issue’s we have, but so far no sign of them. Perhaps Roon is the definitive solution for AirLens users…but knowing Damien in the past, he could solve this for sure…
Should be easy, I can see my sons UPnP devices all the time when they are on. It’s just the Airlens. Maybe they are implementing the UPnP standard incorrectly? Is Tidal Connect using UPnP? Or is it also using some Apple technology to connect???
I can see all of my UPnP devices too, and they are staying in the air too, so It’s the AirLens and/or Audirvana. Initial it is working fine in my case but later on it disappears, especially when it is not in use. I am not sure about Tidal Connect and Apple because
I don’t know.
The Airlens is so hit and miss. Just this morning I opened Audirvana and it took several minutes to find the UPnP devices. Chromecast always show up. After about 5 -10 minutes the Airlens appeared.
Jos I am beginning to wonder if perhaps you have a defective Airlens? I was one of the beta testers and I haven’t had a single dropped connection even after letting it sit unused for weeks while on vacation. Are you able to have PS Audio check it out?
Can be, but I think it is more a network issue, so I will try a few things. Right now the AirLens is directly connected to my Apple Extreme router to see if that helps. Btw. Lonestar is having problems too…and his problem is even more evident than mine. Although, I think it is a network issue too. I have already have had some contact with PS audio about het dip-switch settings and they were very helpful.
I got less problems after connecting the Airlens directly to my router. And I could retrieve the connection with the refresh button at the right, although it can take some time before it shows up. In my opinion there is still room for improvement if Audirvana and PS Audio work to together. This is also true for the volume settings! Hopefully Antoine wil take action !?
