I try to describe the problem that I keep on encountering ;
I play Audirvana via Pc and usb to dac, Then I decide to switch to NAS. I close the app on Pc I start the Remote, which finds the Nas, but it will not connect, Therefore I close the Remote app and reopen it few times, all of the sudden it asks me to login, which I do, then everything appears on the screen as usual, I then need to select the upnp dac in Setting, then I start to play something but it will not play. I close and reopen the remote but it would not play.
To make the remote play I need to enter in the NAS web-controller and stop the App on the Nas and then restart it. The Remote after that starts playing.
All this opening and closing is a real nuisance but why the app on Qnap must be restarted manually?
Can you go on tour QNAP and look at the logs generated by Audirvāna? You should have a mention on where it is located when you click on the Audirvāna icon on QNAP GUI.
I started the qnap, went into the webcontroller clicked on the qnap app log

I have tried it now to reinstall qnap app and it now seems to work properly.
Now it is getting stranger and stranger… I have deleted and reinstall many times the qnap app and the remote, restarted the qnap etc, certain cd are not loaded any longer. BUT if i go to pc which is retrieving the cd from the NAS, the cd is there and can be seen also from the remote app linked to the pc.
But there is no way to find it if I use the qnap app. I looked also at folder view and the cd is not there… but I can see it from pc no problem
When the remote app is linking to qnap via qnap app it reads 4475 tracks vs 4789 when the pc is used to play music located on the qnap nas
How is possible that the Qnap app has “lost” over 300 tracks?
