Qobuz "Error loading track" on first tracks of many albums

I get an “error loading track” on many Qobuz albums when trying to load the first track to play the whole album. Usually the second and all following tracks load and play without problems.

I have tried different buffer sizes, from 0 to max without any effect. I tried different resolutions from CD qualitiy to highest resolution offered by Qobuz, also with noch effect. In both try.outs, the first track did not load.

The problem does not exist with local tracks of any resolution.

Here is my debug info:

Hi,

Can you go into the Audirvāna settings and in the My Account section? You will see a ‘Start Log Session’ button; click on it and reproduce your issue. After you reproduce it, click 'Stop Log Session’ and post the content of the audirvana_studio.log file you can find by clicking the 'Open Log Folder’ button

Here’s what I did:

Quit Aufirvane - Restart Audirvana
opened “settings/my account”, clicked “start log session”
opened a local album, DSD 64, clicked play for the album, the first track plays, stop track after 20secs
click “qobuz/discover” click through to Jeff Tweedys new album “Twilight Override”, click play for whole album, get “error loading track”
click play icon in front of second track, second track starts to play, stop after 20sec, click play icon in front of first track, same error message.

But somehow, my ogfiles seem pretty empty to me:

Has this issue been resolved? I’m currently experiencing a very similar issue.

This is also happening in many situations without Audirvana, and is being discussed on another forum. Something has been going on with Qobuz recently, not sure exactly what yet.

Qobuz’ AI has replied, and the problem is indeed on Qobuz’ end: https://audiophilestyle.com/uploads/monthly_2026_03/image.png.222baab22a3d8e5da705706f474c4acb.png

Thank you…

I love it when partners are proactively informed about such changes

Is there any further information? I can’t replicate this issue on Qobuz alone, only through AS.

People have had the issue with Qobuz Connect; I have tried out HQPlayer and had it skip exactly the same track as Audirvana on the new release album I was testing with.

Qobuz issued a statement about it for their partners. I won’t disclose all of it, but they are on the case:

“Our technical team is currently investigating to identify the root cause and the scope of impacted files. We are working to resolve this as soon as possible.”

Antoine, will Qobuz inform you when the problem is resolved? If yes, would you be willing to update this thread when they let you know? Thank you.

Another question: Can you confirm with Qobuz that this problem does not occur when using the native Qobuz app?

It’s been confirmed on multiple other forums that the Qobuz app works, while any other player that was tried, even including Qobuz Connect, won’t.

Thanks for the info.
