Any suggestions as to the ‘best’ setting for “Native DSD Capability” with a DAC which takes up to DSD256, but appears not to recognise A+ when set to “Automatic Detection”.
DoP over PCM 1.0 and 1.1 work but looking here (http://dsd-guide.com/dop-open-standard#.Wqje-2acZR4) I cannot see what really changed 1.0 -> 1.1 unless it was just absorbing 1.0.2 and 1.0.3 updates.
i think 1.1 introduce DSD256 or/and 512, i can’t remember. mine is at 1.1 even if my DAC stop at DSD128
Not so sure about that - my DAC shows DSD 11.2MHz with 1.0 or 1.1
If it works with 1.1, leave it there, it is the most recent

For me over PCM1.1 sounds warmer and fuller, bigger and wider sound stage. Over PCM1.0 thinner and more airy.
