r8Brain cuts off at the end of track when I have Voxengo AUs enabled

Please advise. The only way I can get the cutoffs to stop is if I deactivate r8brain upsampling or turn off the Voxengo audio units. The cutoffs occur with either legacy or new macOS hosting.

Have you tried to reproduce this issue with one plugin at a time to further narrow the one that is causing this?

Let me check to make sure.

Both Voxengo AUs cause it separately. They don’t cause it when upsampling is turned off.

BTW – I just got a cutoff at the end of a track when using Sox upscaling with the AUs, too!

I will try to reproduce this behavior and come back to you.

What is the frequency of your output when you have this issue?

It happens at Power of 2 (705.6) or To DSD (128 or 256) on 16/44.1 files.

I don’t know if this is normal, but Audirvana shows it’s “Loading…” whether it’s stopped and not loading, is loading, or has loaded:

It’s normal. So you get the issue at certain frequency, do you have a DSD 128 track to test without having upsampling involved?

No, I do not.

Ok, I will come back to you tomorrow with a link to get a DSD 128 track and try it out on your side.

Update: I was able to get my hands on a DSD128 vinyl rip of a gapless album: From Here to Eternity by Giorgio Moroder. There were no cutoffs at the end of all 5 tracks on Side A.

(If I remember correctly, Side B is not gapless so it’s not useful for the cutoff test.)

Ok, I have an Intel version so probably why I do not have the same behavior as yours. I will need to wait a bit before being able to try to reproduce the issue but will definitely do as soon as possible.
