Remote app crashing

Hey everyone…so the remote app is crashing non stop. But only in certain ways.
As in it’s always possible to skip to the next track through even when the app doesn’t react to any other button… but clicking on a new track
to play doesn’t work.
So my work around for now is adding the track I want to play to the que and then skipping to it but that’s a major bug… and very annoying. Iv noticed that closing the app and opening it can sometimes help but not most of the time. Basically the Audirvana remote is really not stable in anyway at the moment.
Am I the only one with this problem, maybe it’s just my moto g5s problem…
It’s connected to a macbook pro running 10.15.2. The remote app works good 10% of the time for me… Anybody else with same issues?

Get an iOS device. You’ll have much better experience.

Well i have an old ipad but the os is not new enough to install Audirvana Remote. I cant afford a new os device.

Which version of Android you are using?

I’m on 8.1.0 because it’s the latest version my phone will take.

If you try to do the same thing as you do in the Remote in Audirvana, do you have the same issue?

Well actually yes I did have a similar issue in Audirvana on my Mac. I remember now that is where I figured out if i skipped the track or even pressed the stop button it could work again but it’s not happening as often or crashing heavy like the Remote app. Thanks

Can you send me a copy of the “Debug Info”? You can get it in Audirvana Settings>General>Debug Info

Note: By clicking on the Debug Info button, Audirvana automatically copies all its content, all you have to do is paste it in response to this message

can you just tell me when you have it copied so i can delete the last message. its safer like that i feel.

Don’t worry the debug info do not contains personal information.

Does the issue you have only happens while you select your MOTU device in Audirvana?

Hard to know I only use it with the Motu 828es. Why?

it use a dedicated driver, even for MacOS, this is why I would like to know if it works properly with other device available to Audirvana.

Ok so i will try test the remote with the soundcard in the mac is that what you mean? Also I have another question, is there some way to stop Audirvana taking control of the soundcard exclusively, as in I have to close Audirvana everytime i want the soundcard to work for any other app like ableton, web browser etc surely there is a fix for this please? and thanks for the replies.

Part of the point of Audirvana working as it does is for it to take exclusive use of the soundcard whilst it’s playing.
You don’t need to completely close Audirvana for it to ‘let go’ of the soundcard, though, simply click on the Stop button (in the remote it appears after you hit Pause).

Ah ya ok I thought that’s how it worked thanks for the tip. I have one other question its about tidal playback.
If I play music on on tidal at the end of an album it will just play on recommendations from tidal but in Audirvana it just stops at the end of an album … is there a way to have it continue to play on with tidal recommendations?
This is kind of a big deal for the whole experience. Thanks for all the help

At the time we have made the integration, this possibility was not available, we will need to take a look at it to see if it’s now available.
