Sorry, but this is a deal breaker for meā¦
As I play lots of DJ Mixes - the tracks need to be seamless and not stop between each track - Is there a way of having continuos/seamless playback ?
Even a little stop between the tracks spoiler the whole flow of the mix
I have already rejected 2 music play systems due to them not having this feature
Its local from my DAS - I have not ed however , if I let the whole track play the next one is buffered - but it wonāt work if itās started half way
Sorry to keep asking the questions - But I do like what I see, will probably subscribe , but I canāt do Roon too , and that wonāt renew until Januaryā¦so I will make a note in my Diary
You pasted a debug report in your other post⦠We need to see what your configuration is at this point⦠Also take @ChiliHot 's advice and reduce the playback pre-load memory allocation⦠In your previous debug info, you were allocating 62GB of you available 64GB System RAM for pre-load memory⦠macOS Sonoma is a memory hog⦠the more System RAM available for system operations the betterā¦
If the tracks are contiguous files of āXā length they should play as any other song file⦠Apparently there are transitional zero-crossing gaps that were mixed into these filesā¦
Would screen shots be helpful as the issue is a audible oneā¦
for example
Track 1 Nut rocker is 57 seconds long which should play into track 2 ( donāt know how the tech works but the CDs play ok as so do other apps I have )
It does not always happen , which its why I assume its to do with buffering - and having to load in the next track , ready to playā¦
I think that Iām already starting to spend too much time on this
I will monitor during ny trail period and see if I can pin point an exact case and maybe send a audio clip of it happening
SPDIF is connected directly to the Mac Studio via USB C - NOT via a hub
( I have to say it does sound really good )
I do have large collection of music , and AV is still " Syncing " so assuming this is a one off process ( which then drops to monitoring ) it may speed things up as the HD is going mad at the moment !
