Hi @Antoine
The latest Studio 3.0.4 has a glitch in the search function. The moment the curser is placed in the search bar the search icon appears mid screen…lasts about 5 to 10 seconds and then the search result is shown. I’m about to rebuild database etc to see if this is just my problem…
After rfebuilding and all those database repairs etc the issue remains.
It is not a crucial thing but pedants will not like it. As for the past experience I always found the search function to be extremely fast.

Hi @philipjohnson ,
I think I reproduced the issue, but I would like to see how it goes for you. Can you please post some screenshots?
Thse screen shots in order 1, 3, then 2.
Hope this helps.
This began happening after thet last update that corrected he tracks appearing, streaminmgless use.

- the Logo appears and laoding does not appear but the Audrivana LOG revolves for for about 5 to 10 seconds.
This is. the third screen which produced the search results immediately after the second screen forms. This appearance section is how the usual Search function worked.. results immediate.
This is the second sccreen which forms after that twn seconds
I see what you mean. We will look at it very soon.
@philipjohnson
I see the behavior… however, it doesn’t seem like a glitch…
The general behavior seems reasonable to me… In my case…
When I select ‘Search’ the previous searches drop-down window is displayed as a shortcut… If I don’t want the shortcut, I click in the ‘Search’ box and type a new search string… When searching direct from the ‘Search’ box, the results are displayed reasonably rapidly in direct response to the search string and I see all relevant sources displayed reasonably rapidly… This was searching “ALL” … I presume the response time is associated to the size of the library database and the ‘Search’ criteria focus..
Hi @Agoldnear
“The History of Search” I call it. Before latest update the search had that drop down or you type in a new term and instant result. But never was there any delay as Audirvana logo revolving for several seconds (8).
Past behaviour was click in search box, drop down or type new term, immediate result. Just like a Google search in fact. Letters for words and search results appear immediately.
It’s not a huge problem but as I mentioned in first post, pedants will notice. And may see it as a glitch.

Count me in as a pedant. Way slower than prior builds. Thought it was my connection to Qobuz at first. Think without the Audirvana logo might not have noticed…… The logo addition is a bit like Liquid Glass in macOS Tahoe….. a vanity addition that draws people’s attention to issues……….
