Hello
I am using Audirvana with a Macbook Pro and a Naim Unitilite. Often but not always a track will skip after a few seconds and go to another. What am I doing wrong?

Can you try to disable software volume control and enable exclusive access and try again?

You need to stop the audio using the square icon. Yes there is Exclusive access on Mac, you need to go in audirvana output settings.
Bonjour Damien. I am doing better. I’ve done as you say, and the playing is stable. I have FOR NOW just one more question. The square speaker box symbol. When I click it, it shows two sections: one is DAC, with built-in output, and the second piece has NETWORK, and the name of my Naim system. What should I be using? I’ve been usind the network, but should I use DAC? Merci beaucoup. Terence
The DAC section is the outputs that are connected to your computer (either via USB or your local sound card). The NETWORK is for the UPnP outputs you have that can be played with Audirvana. The main difference between them is the capacity of the output as one can for example could play at a higher frequency than the other. Those differences are indicated in your device manual.
For your Naim you see it in the Network section which means you play to it over UPnP. Note that Audirvana sent the audio in .wav in UPnP so the track is not alliterated when it arrive to your Naim.
Thank you so much, Damien, for taking this time. I am not completely clueless, but the DAC world is full of acronyms and new words! Audirvana this weekend worked flawlessly. Must have been the tweaks that you suggested last week. One last question; is the fidelity the same using the Legacy feature? Not that I’m really tempted, as Audirvana is so good. I’ll be buying! The Legacy feature allows you to use Music but with the sound of Audirvana so yes, the fidelity is the same.
