Smart playlist with Hits

I want to make a smart playlist with ‘Hits’ ‘Best Of’ and ‘Greatest’
That works fine, but after making I want to exclude one of the albums with ‘Christmas’. I can delete the songs but I don’t see them back in my general library. I mean outside the playlist I generated. They seem to be place in the Recycle bin.

Does someone know how to solve this?

Here you can restore them.
Maybe you need to create a simple playlist,
not a smart one to be able to remove some?

Thanks! I know how to restore them, but then they will come back in the generated smart playlist ‘Hits’ too. I did take a look at simple playlist, but can’t see a solution there. It’s all about excluding a part of the generated album selection, in this case albums with the word ‘Christmas’ in it.

redo what you did… then, remove the christmas from the smart playlist…
now they are in the trash…

create a simple playlist name whatever…
go to the smart playlist and select all in it,
drag the files in the new simple playlist…
now you have all except christmas…

then restore your files in the trash
and trash the smart playlist…
just keep the simple one with all the songs in it you want.

Thanks a lot! I will try this tomorrow and let you now.

I was just reading more carefully, it’s certain a solution, but if I add new hits albums, then I have to start all over again, I think.

Thanks for your support!

No, you just have to drop that album in this playlist, it is not smart but can be added after :grinning:

Yes of course, but still not automatic, thanks!
And I have done it, it’s working!

Have good and healty new year!
