Software controls volume

Hello. I just installed the trial version. MacOs on a 2018 Mac Mini. I would like to the software to control my volume, yet that option is grayed out and will not allow me to select.

Thoughts? Is this related to my software being a trial version?

Nope, you need to enable it in the settings.
