Some multichannel quad files showing up as 3.1 channel and playing back as stereo

Most of my quad files playback in quad and show up as 4.0 channel files, but some show up as 3.1 channel and playback as stereo – why is this happening? The files that show up in Audirvana as 3.1 channel play fine as quad in Apple Quicktime.

Can you send me a copy of the “Debug Info”? You can get it in Audirvana Settings>General>Debug Info
