Hi, I recently purchased an AUDIO-GD DI24HE. I need a DDC because the DAC in my Lyngdorf amp only has SPDIF inputs, no USB.
I’m using the factory ASIO driver for the built-in Amanero USB interface.
Everything plays fine, I’m very happy with the sound, until I de-activate the exclusive audio access (padlock icon). When starting to play again and thus re-activating the exclusive access, the sound is distorted. The sound remains distorted even when switching to another player (e.g. VLC)
There is no way to get rid of the distortion: stop and re-launch audirvana; restart PC; restart DDC… nothing helps.
Except, I found out by coincidence, after fiddling with the audio interface in another program (in this case JRiver). That brings back the clean sound, also in Audirvana.
Am I wrong in thinking that Audirvana confuses the USB interface with its exclusive access switch? If so, is there a solution?
