Stability with quobuz and tidal

Hi everyone,
Has any of you nexperuenced lately (maybe over the past month or 2) some systematic freeze with when streaming tidal or quobuz music?

Over the past month or 2 I have seen than I cannot play more than one song from quobuz (16/44) or 3 quarter of an album with tidal (16/44). Once the freeze happen I usually restart windows server 2019 and the apps becomes available after that … until I stream.

Playback from local library happens without pb.

No changes have happened to my system for years and it was working fine with occasional (after many hours of playing) freezes in the past.

I tried running without my optimisation scripts with the same results, although I’ve not tried deactivating audiophileoptimizer.

Has anyone experienced similar issues with audirvana and streaming.

PS: I am in singapore and I know they’ve been doing things to optimise the internet throughput recently at the telco side, but in general internet works well.

Have you tried rebooting the router?

Just tried a quick restart of both modem and router and playing a quobuz track froze audirvana right away

Hm. Logging out of Audirvãna and then logging back in again?

Actually I did that yesterday when payment renewal failed  no change.

Then right after that audirvana froze on playing from the internal drive for the first time.

I’ve switched to jplay and aside from my usual jplay femto issues, no pb when playing quobuz or tidal for the whole day.

Maybe you could post your debug info here. There are peeps around here that can give you some tips then which you could try.

Any idea on how to retrieve the logs without using the interface (which is frozen)?

That’s a good question. @Antoine might know a solution?

Hi @Bbc802,

When Audirvāna is frozen, do you have at some point a window telling you that a dump file as been created on your desktop?

Hi @Antoine, no such message, just the choice between waiting further or closing the app.

However, as I was waiting this morning to see what would happen if I were to wait very long, I switched off the dac and it seemed that this unfroze Audirvana.
Seeing that I re-switched on the dac and audirvana was working fine again.

I am using jplay driver and have been for a very long time though, the only thing that has changed in the build are the updates on audirvana.

When I use jplay on its own (with the jplay app), I don’t recall similar issues but I will check again as I do have issues and one may mask another.

I’ll also try with the dac asio driver to see if the pb still happens.

Quick update @Antoine : after changing the driver to the dac asio driver, I had a message noticing me of a dump yesterday when playing under the optimised setup. No freeze. If you want that, let me me know how I can provode it to you.

I have deactivated the ramloading if the os and the windows optim scripts but am still waiting for the error to reoccur since this morning (already 5h of listening and no crash /freeze yet)

Can you send it at [email protected]?
