I am presuming that the index is cached and updated and accessed as needed… However, if the user (me) doesn’t instigate activity that might engage Siri AI this will be a rather benign background operation… When I am listening to music, that is all I am doing… otherwise, I don’t care what is going on if I have Audirvāna playing background music noise… Is this a fair assessment, looking forward?
You can turn off Siri AI but alas it does not stop most of the indexing taking place (spotlightknowledged, mediaanalysisd, CGPDFservice amongst literally probably 30 of these daemons from running) as Apple knows you will not be able to resist turning it back on at some point.. you and I are members of the Apple Borg and have been assimilated 
But seriously, buy a new Apple and load on all your data, music, pictures etc and it will be a nuisance for a few days. Once your data has been indexed it will not occur very often unless you erase and reinstall the device. I only noticed it after a clean install when I notice the heat in the keyboard then I check Activity Monitor and can see it.
It would be nice if Audirvana could disable all the daemons when playback is initiated but I am not sure that will be possible or practically feasible as it may impact the general stability of the OS.
I can’t imagine that Apple will let this impinge on the performance of Music, Logic Pro, MainStage and GarageBand… and all audio system platforms…
As stated after a first clean install should calm down and I’m sure Apple will allow its apps to limit indexing, not sure how easy they would make it for competitors though!
In the high-end digital-audio demographic, I think Audirvāna brings a lot of users to the Apple platforms… My bet this is a non-issue for the development team…
