Is fantastic! With digital music I’ve never used a preamp, Previously I used the software volume in XXHighend and then the volume control internal to a legacy Sonore Signature Rendu. Both were exceptional; however, Studio volume control, which allows for changing volume in .1 db increments, allows for the literal tuning of each track to its seemingly perfect sweet spot. Thank You! (Now if we could just get the plus minus volume buttons working in the remote app I could get the laptop off my lap!)
Again, thanks so much for the fantastic sound I’m enjoying.
Check your Volume control settings… If Audirvāna does not see the DAC capable of remote control of its internal volume, then you can only use the Software Volume control.
Is it possible to use Audirvana’s software volume control for one device and DAC volume control for another? On my system, the same choice will be forced on both devices.
Is the display of two volume levels, SW an DAC, in the mini-player, as shown in help.audirvana.com, still applicable? I only have one unlabelled volume level.
(Audirvana Studio 3.4.0 on MacOS 27)
You will need to close Audirvāna and turn-off the DAC using software volume control before opening Audirvāna again with the other DAC online… Switching the DAC while in a playback session apparently does not remember the previous setting for that DAC from another session… You will always need to start a playback session with only the preferred DAC online and then the setting will be remembered after closing Audirvāna…
