Studio won't play Hi-Res files

With Hi-Res files I’m just getting either a couple of seconds of sound or fragments. Any ideas how to solve the problem. Cheers Paul.

Actually, it will play some hi-res files but not others. Apple Music plays the same files without any problem. They are all aiff files.

I really hope this can be resolved as I would like to stay with audirvana because I like the sound. However, I’m losing my patience and intend to try the 14 day roon trial because no matter how good audirvana can sound it’s no use if it won’t play my music.

Hello @Smoggy61,

Do you have the same issue with your Mac speakers or it’s only using your KEF? Can you also try to lower the maximum or memory that can be used by Audirvāna Studio?

Spoke to soon. The files play ok through the Mac inbuilt speakers but not through the LSX’s.

Can you try to connect LSXs using ethernet cable?

Hi bitracer, thanks for your input. It seems to be an issue with the LSX’s. They are connected via Ethernet and I’ve just reset them but I still have the same problem with the same files (although not quite as bad maybe) even playing back via the KEF Stream app - Audirvana not involved.

Problem solved. Nothing to do with Audirvana. Somehow, although the speakers have an Ethernet connection, the cable/Wi-Fi tab in the KEF Control app had become toggled to wi-fi instead of cable. All sorted now. Thanks all for your input.
