I am using Audirvana Studio for Mac (v2.5.2) with the following settings: Qobuz streaming to Lumin P1 via DLNA. Sometimes during track playback, Audirvana suddenly stops and restarts the playing from beginning of the same track. I’ve activated the log files and when this event happens, the following warning appears in the logs before track restart.

In addition to @RunHomeSlow suggestion if you still have an issue and have not done so already…,….
Reduce max buffer under the loading section of settings to 8000 mb.
Switch to your Mac speakers then under DAC settings turn on “Use large CoreAudio I/O buffer. You can then switch back to your Lumin
As you appear to be UPnP to the Lumin. Switch off then reboot all components in your playback chain, computer, network, wireless including modem. etc etc and then power on everything and try again.
I’ve updated the Mac OS to latest, changed buffer size to 8GB… No change unfortunately.
RAW PCM streams and Missing Events workaround - I don’t know how to change them.
One more thing: I am only streaming Qobuz… what I’ve also noticed during long sessions of playback with many tracks is that:
sometimes the track stops towards the end and playback restarts from the beginning for the same song.
in other times, the next song starts playing but bottom UI element showing the current track and progress does not update and remains frozen showing the last played track.

I’ve uploaded a short screen recording + ambient sound from the room showing the issue with GUI not updating when the playback advances to the next song.
The missing event workaround and raw pcm streams are available in the settings/audio tab. Click on the settings gear icon next to your Lumin heading in the output device box. There is also an item that says “ fix for devices with unwanted playback stops” worth a try.
Playback tracks not updating and unwanted stops in playback for me have normally only occurred when my internet connection (streaming) and network performance has slowed. I am sure you have already performed a quick reboot of all components in your playback chain? Network router performance can degrade over time due to bad packet errors and frozen memory addresses.
As you are upsampling to DSD and sending large files via UPnP, network throughput and processor usage can get stressed. I am running an M3 Max processor and my usage jumps by 20-30% when upsampling to DSD256 and it eats about 2gb of Ram for a 4 minute track. What is your Mac’s specification?
Thanks for advice @Djm1960 … Unfortunately the same happens no matter which state the switches are for raw pc streams and “fix for devices with unwanted playback stops”. I’ve tried multiple combinations.
Regarding the Mac spec, it is an Mac Mini M1 with 16GB RAM, 50% of it free. CPU load is around 229% when Audirvana is upsampling. Most of the time Audirvana process stays at 10-20% afterwards. As it looks, there are plenty of resources for it.
Rebooting doesn’t help either. Internet connection at home is 2.5Gbps, for example Netflix playback doesn’t break a sweat when streaming from 3 devices simultaneously. Between MacMini and Lumin I have 1Gbps connection relayed through a Unifi switch.
Not an issue for an M series Mac. Will have to wait and see what Antoine comes up with. For info I am running a M3 Max with zero issues upsampling to DSD256. Hopefully support can locate the cause and provide a solution.
Upsampling works fine in other players, wouldn’t be nice to work in Audirvana as well?
