Suggestion: Tidal Daily Discovery solution

I know that it is not currently possible for you to extract the Daily Discovery playslist from Tidal which many of us use on a daily basis so here are two possible solutions for this dilemma.

  1. Implement Tidal Connect in AS so it is possible to stream directly from the Tidal app too. This should be possible and is something that for instance Volumio have implemented on top of their own Tidal implementation.

  2. Someone suggested that you can go into the Tidal app and create a playslist of the Daily Disovery and then listen to it in AS. This works fine and is quite quick to do, however, you need to restart AS for the new Playlist to appear and this is a problem for those of us who use a server without screen and mouse and keyboard. Is it possible to implement a “refresh playlist” button within AS app so that the restart is not necessary? This would be very helpful.

Hi @Magnus I have found over the couple of years that I have been using AS that you do not need to restart to update the playlists (restart is only required to get you album favourites to load) I do it mainly on iPad Remote and go to Playlists, hold your finger on the playlist screen and drag down. The Wheel turns and playlists are updated. That gives you the gist of how to do it, just adapt to how that works on your computer (Mac or Windows)
