SysOptimizer not working

I upgraded to Direct mode in High Sierra (using the kext replacement method outlined in the forum), everything went fine, no issues during the process.

Afterwards, when I was testing Direct Mode. I noticed a Time Machine backup was completing (even though I had SysOptimizer enabled and it was lit up green on A+) Spotlight was also working too, so I am am assuming that SysOptimizer is not actually functional even though it says it is.

Prior to upgrading the kext to get Direct Mode enabled, Time Machine’s menubar icon would be greyed out (non-functional) when SysOptimizer is active. Now that is no longer the case and it looks like it normally does (white icon) and fully functional, even when SysOptimizer is showing as active in A+

I searched the forums and did a reinstall of SysOptimizer by trashing the following files and rebooting:

~/Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/com.audirvana.audirvana-plus.SysOptimizerTool
~/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.audirvana.audirvana-plus.SysOptimizerTool.plist

SysOptimizer installed after I rebooted and fired up A+, but still no dice. Same behavior as before.

I also tried fixing the permissions on the PrivilegedHelperTool Folder to root-wheel using the following sudo commands in ~/Library

sudo chmod 755 PrivilegedHelperTools
sudo chown root:wheel PrivilegedHelperTools

Still no change in behavior. As a last ditch effort I reset the PRAM this morning, and nothing.

Here is my debug info, as you can see I have SysOptimizer on (and set to Extreme) Is there anything I am missing that I could possibly try to resolve this?

I noticed one more thing of interest. When SysOptimizer initiates, the checkbox for “Back Up Automatically” under Time Machine Preferences does not become unchecked, however if I manually uncheck the box and “restart all selected services now” under the SysOptimizer tab in A+ Preferences then it checks “Back Up Automatically” again. So it seems to be working to restart the selected services, but it is not able to stop them.

In addition, my preferences have started to randomly reset themselves upon exiting the app (not every time, but sporadically). Specifically with regards to the Audio System, Audio Filters and SysOptimizer tabs.

I have tried a fresh install of A+ (uninstalled the App using Clean My Mac 3) and no real change as far as I can see.
