Too fast play speed: requires a full restart of DAC (Never happened before)

I experienced this several times since update to 2.6:

• I power on my second system
• I select the DAC in AS
• I try to play a track: no sound but playing speed is abnormal (Too fast).
• Only solution: power recycle the DAC.

What other components are in the UPnP network chain? Is this a simple Ethernet connection? More information is needed… like the make and model of your DAC and your network configuration to the DAC.

Hi,
Here you are! To be noted that this morning when powering up the whole thing, the problem did not occur.
Maybe it’s a transient problem due to a wrong transmission of audio settings (sample rate) between AS and the DAC.
Let’s see if I can reproduce the problem later.

For info, in my setup I have:

• A Mac Mini hosting AS
• A Synology server where audio files are stored
• An Ipad used as a remote

Everything is connected via Ethernet through 1GB switches.

And to be clear: I never had a similar problem before with that very same setting, only AS version has changed.

It’s possible, if you experience the same behavior again, try to enable upsampling with the setting “use maximum sample of device”.
