tracks repeating in iTunes Integrated Mode

I’m running Audirvana Plus 3.2.8 (3139) on OSX 10.10.5 and iTunes 12.7.1.14 in iTunes Integrated Mode

Occasionally Audirvana gets confused and restarts the currently playing track every time that iTunes moves onto another track. I haven’t been able to work out a way of forcing this to happen - I would say that it happens at least once every couple of days, sometimes multiple times per day.

I also have log entries like this which might or might not be relevant:-

30/08/2018 17:24:30.946 Audirvana Plus[42653]: Error obtaining device description from http://192.168.10.100:49152/wps_device.xml – error = -204
30/08/2018 17:23:16.323 Audirvana Plus[42653]: AppleEvents: Send port for process has no send right, port=( port:62159/0xf2cf rcv:1,send:0,d:0 limit:5) (findOrCreate()/AEMachUtils.cp #526) com.apple.main-thread

I only spotted the log entries today - I haven’t yet determined whether they are linked to Audirvana losing sync.

I’ve tried changing all the configuration options relating to iTunes sync in the preferences panel without stopping it happening. Has this happened to anyone else?

In the past I had smart playlists which captured things like “unplayed tracks” but the fact that the track was removed from the playlist when it finished playing seemed to cause issues. I’ve since made all my smart playlists into manually updated but that doesn’t seem to have solved the problem.

Leaving the logs open and filtering to Audirvana I now notice this:

30/08/2018 17:38:01.215 Audirvana Plus[42653]: Error obtaining device description from http://192.168.0.1:49152/WFADevice.xml – error = -108

neither 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.10.100 are the IP addresses of the machine it is running on. 192.168.0.1 is my router.

the “send port for process has no send right” start as soon as I start playing a tune from iTunes are repeat with two entries at a time every two seconds.
