Tracks stop and restart

In iTunes integrated mode while playing a playlist in iTunes, Audirvana sometimes starts to play the beginning of the next track, stops after a few seconds, and then starts the song again, playing it to the end. It may then play the next track normally, only to repeat the strange behavior with a subsequent track.
M3 iMac

Any suggestions to fix this issue?

This may sound similar to my experience. As with you in iTunes integrated mode. I play a track from the start and within a second or two there is a gap of a second within the music and it continues playing normally. Not sure why this is - was not my experience with the software initially. MacMini 2014 running 0SX mojave, Audirvana 2.5.14

unlike your description, in my case the song stops after a few seconds then restarts from the beginning.

Do you have this behavior with any file format you play this way?

this problem is a recent development. In the past everything functioned normally.

After an iMac restart Audirvana has been working normally.
