Unable to open audio file for playback 2

I have the same problem. I use Qobuz. The problem doesn’t happen for local files (I have done limited testing of this though).

This renders Audirvana as useless to me. I have tried the suggestions here (which are limited) and nothing has worked.

I’ve never had this problem with Qobuz. Can you share the Debug info here?

Can you go in the audio output settings of your device and select the option Avoid Raw PCM?

I have done the Avoid Raw PCM. It seems to be more stable now. It used to work initially on restart of the computer. Then after a few plays (I’m not sure of the conditions) I would get the error. It seemed to work after the recent Windows update. It has now been working for 2 full days - by far the longest period ever. I’m not sure if it is the Avoid Raw PCM or the Windows update that solved the problem.

I will monitor from here.

Hi I am having this same issue on my M1 Mac.
I play about half an album and then Audirvana stops and I get the unable to open audio file for playback message. Then it either crashes or logs me out.
This is happening on all albums on Qobuz for me

Do you get this issue while playing streaming tracks or local tracks?

I have no problem streaming local files. The problem is with streaming from Qobuz.

I am having the same problem, with Tidal.

I am using 1.9 now. I thought the problem was solved but it is not.
Also I have to login every time I use Audirvāna Studio is that normal?

Can you please go to Studio settings> My account and disconnect your account? After doing this, reconnect your account and you should not have this issue again.

Sorry for my ignorance. Could you explain how to disconnect and reconnect the account for 3.5 on a Mac running Tidal? I cannot see how to. Audirvana has basically no value or use for me anymore, and cannot play the vast majority of music. I have had just to use Tidal. It would be nice to be able to use Audirvana again. No solution has been in sight, and nothing has been resolved.

I can only show you the Windows version of Audirvana 3.5, but I assume it will be the same on the Mac.

Go to settings and click ‘Revoke License’.
Next time you use or install Audirvana again you have to type in your license number.

This situation was not satisfactory, as I was unable to play most of the music I chose. This lasted several months. I tried Roon, but probably like most here, preferred Audirvana. I cannot switch from Mac to PC. Therefore, I cancelled Tidal and now listen to Qobuz. Thanks to everyone for your suggestions.
