Unable to play DSD using Topping E30

Hi everyone,

I’m using a Topping E30 DAC via USB with my Windows 10 laptop. I have followed all steps advised on other threads regarding this to no avail. I’m still unable to playback DSD although my DAC supports up to DSD512.

Here’s by debug info:

I have the same problem with a Topping D10S. Although I haven’t tried any troubleshooting steps, I did notice when setting it up that Audirvana doesn’t recognize that it can do DSD.

Anyone…help please?

Install the lates version of the driver:

I did that already, thanks for the suggestion.

Have you tried to play a file of lower resolution?

Non DSD works fine. Upscaling is a nightmare and unstable.

How much memory (RAM) do you have installed?

I have 8gb. It’s a dedicated system just for serving music.

Make the pre-load cache smaller. Try 2000MB.

Is it abnormal to hear extremely painful buzzing noises when upscaling to DSD512 or 256? My DAC can handle it so I don’t see where the problem is.

Have you tried to play a native DSD file? Do you have a more powerful computer to try the upsampling on.
