Volume control, as far as I know, is inactive when streaming via UPnP. Per default, it sets itself to 50% and you can slide it to 100% without audible effect.
I donāt think it has something to do with the file format. The last couple of albums I tested were all from Qobuz, and those are FLAC files.
My feeling is that the recent AS updates made UPnP streaming unstable. I noticed with previous updates that UPnP streaming caused problems in starting the stream. Initially, AS worked flawlessly with RopieeeXL, only with the last few updates did it become almost unusable. It could also be caused by Mac OS updates. Itās a tricky situation.
As already said, Roon works 100% reliably, so thereās no issue with the LAN nor the Raspi. As much as I regret, I need to resort to Roon!
Good Jacob is here, I just test a AIFF file and volume is good on usb I will try upnp. See what Jacob can find
My oppo 205 plays it via upnp but breaks up a bit prefers 100% volume slider
You know whatā¦ā¦.my upnp was problematic, Thats why I made a leap of faith to Monterey beta and it did work better then Damien did the intermediate update and everything worked properly since
I tend to go off-topic quickly when the letters M+Q+A appear in a message. But Verstappen is very off-topic. But I can certainly appreciate Maxās racing skills. Went to DTM in Assen last weekend. The Mazda MX-5 cup is really fun to watch when it comes to track battles.
The question is whether the FP3 will start. The weather seems to be quite bad.
If you get the same log every time you try to play an album, there might be something useful. There is a reference to a missing file needed for the command in line 44595. I have no idea what the code is, but maybe Antoine can do something with it.
I just re-booted my Mac Mini, re-started AS and it worked right from the start. I wouldnāt have a clue how this might have alleviated the issue, but for the moment it works. Letās cross fingers!
