Unable to start playing albums

Hello All

Has anyone encountered problems lately in initiating to play an album? AS in my case says ‘Loading first track …’ but then it wouldn’t play it. Nor any other track from a given album. This is really annoying! Here’s the debug info, just in case.

My AS is the latest version and I just updated my Mac OS to macOS Big Sur Version 11.6. Perhaps the Mac update causes the problems?

Just to let you know, I re-started my Raspi 4B running RopieeeXL and I am able to stream again from my Mac Mini to the Raspi, though not reproducibly! Sometimes the first track hangs. To me it seems that UPnP has some problems with AS (or vice versa).

New release today 1.7 , that’s not what you showed in first post.
Here Mac mini 12.0 Monterey beta 7 AS 1.7 Ethernet to Oppo205 upnp working quite well. Actually not pop thumping after first track to second track , that is a improvement

Updated, the first few tracks played OK, but all of a sudden, it lost connection to the Raspi running RopieeeXL! Didn’t feel like rebooting the Raspi again. Instead of, I switched to Roon/HQPlayer and this combination works reliably. So no problems as such with RopieeeXL.

Have you tried toggling the “do not use raw pcm” setting in preference , local ,output device ? I have that switch set to on, to the right side. So far so good

I got things working-it was a network issue.

1.7 seems to be working fine now.

Found it! It’s in ‘Preferences’ → ‘Audio’

Will try tomorrow to see if that solves the issue.

Tried the ,Do not use Raw PCM …‘ settings and still the same, AS won‘t start to play. I am wondering if AS needs a re- installation?

Hey Sailor, well so much for that idea, Your playing a AIFF file I see how do you control your volume? I ask because I always run 100% into my DACs and use my integrated amps volume. Some files won’t play if volume is not 100%.
Any way you can test that with a FLAC file ?
