Seeing Antoine’s post about the new version I tried to update my Linux version from the remote, but all I see is a message saying Error updating Error and an option to cancel. Is this expected at this stage and will I need to refresh if I want to move to 2.8.1.4?
Updating succeeded in 3 of my 4 Linux distros, and the one where it didn’t was an Arch User Repo package, not Damien’s original (uninstalling and installing the new version worked fine). It worked fine with a second Arch distro, so the error could well have been on my part.
Anyway, to your point: Perhaps try to uninstall, including configuration files, then install the new version.
OK. This may be specific to the GentooPlayer bistro I use then. It has its own internal mechanism for updating software, including Audirvana, which did work.
