today, when switching instances of Audirvana studio, I must login each time to permit using the software. Given Audirvana is already tracking each instance I have, why not allow up to 2 instances to be used (not concurrently) without relogging for permission? I find it quite annoying each time I switch that I have to login each time. If I introduce a new instance, then logging out of one of the other instances should be required for the user to acknowledge before permissioning the new instance. Thx.
Allowing 2 instances of Audirvana logged in (not concurrently playing) is something that should be implemented. It would make it much friendlier when switching from an office setup to a stereo system setting.
Normally I have Studio running on the main stereo system. Yesterday working at home I ran Studio on my office computer; in the evening opened a copy again on the main stereo system and of course the office machine closed. But this morning the office computer did not release the USB port. That forced me to reboot the computer to correct that. This truly is a thing that Audirvana should fix. The current situation makes it very unfriendly. To combat piracy is one thing but it has its limits. Most of the subscription services, Adobe, Apple TV, manage that well and actually allow 2 concurrent versions running.
