Room correction, headphone equalisation can be done this way. Does this fit your question?
That makes sense. Didn’t find any volume control plugins (replay gain e.d.). Most plugins are for music production.

I’m not using any VST plugin in A+ as I don’t have any need to use one.
I only tested some pro VST plugins in A+ because I’m in the test ring.
