I am been persuaded to take the trial version of “studio”, but have a question…how will it perform with my full version of 3.5, thats already set up on the PC, will it conflict?

According to my experience it won’t conflict with 3.5. It will create a new library in the same directory as the 3.5 one and will run separately.
That was my fear when I started to try AS but now I’m back to 3.5 and it’s still working as before.

True. You can also change the location of the library in Settings. For example in my case (Windows) the library for A 3.5 is on C:/A/1 and for AS on C:/A/2
