Audirvana, microrendu, quetest....help

Hello, i’m new here and i have an very serious question…
I just left roon and an hour ago bought a audirvana license. But when i play music with qobuz there is an anoying hum, when i pause it stops, when i press play it starts again.
I search for a solution but couldn’t find any. Is ther anyone who knows how to stop this humming/buzzing? Thank you.

Have you tried to connect the Quetest directly to the computer?

I did now… And there is no hummm or buzzz…
Thanks for figuring that out. So know i have to find out what’s causing the problem. It ain’t the usb cable because i changed it to another one… So it have to come from the microrendu. Strange because roon is working fine.

Probably the power supply of some device. Not necessarily that of the microRendu.

It could also be some setting in microRendu. Do you upsample? If yes, try without that.

Ik don’t upsample.

I didn’t change a powersupply when i tested with the laptop a moment ago… so that won’t be the issue i asume… But i wil try.

And only when the music plays…when i pause it’s gone…

I checked the settings in microrendu … can’t find a solution there…

No problem, sometimes it can be also something nor related to the hi-fi system. Something like LED light in the vicinity running on the same phase or some other cheap and noisy switching power supply. It’s also common to manifest itself only when music actually plays as it is modulated into the signal.

Also check the obvious, like if you’re running the latest firmware on microRendu. You might even try to reset the microRendu and configure it again.

I will try the reset. There can’t be no noise from a broke powersupply because it will be there when playing and on pause.
I have a listening room where all electricity is okay. It just appeared when changing from roon to audirvana… So think of it, with your help, there is only the microrendu that can cause the problem.

… it only appears on 16/44 and not om 24/96 etc.

Try to disable the Roon functionality.

Oh man…i’m so glad i’m getting somewhere.

It’s to late to listen to any music…so first thing in the morning i will search to disable roon… Hope i can find that option.

Deinstalled Roon from core and phone… Don’t know what’s next. 16/44 is buzzing and high res is perfect…
