Audirvana stop to play with Lumin T2

Hi There,

Since a little while, i have a problem with Audirvana when playin on Lumin T2 via upnp. It just stop to play, difficult to say the frequency, but it may happens a few time per day. On my other player Marantz ND8006 it never happens.

I have this system for about 4 years and never had this kind of problem before.

On this Lumin i use sometime the Lumin App and have never problem like this. SO i think there something happenning with Audirvana.

I tried to disable Sysoptimizer (which sometime send popup which tell there is problem with) but it did not solve the problem.

This is a dedicated to Audirvana old iMac (late 2013 running Catalina 16GB Ram) i tried to make it the lighter possible, no Time machine, spotlight disabled, no other apps like Microsoft, Adobe, etc installed

Hi @pierrest Possible that a newer Mac & OS would help.
Are you able to upgrade to a newer Version of the MacOS or is Catalina the end stop for your 2013 iMac?

Yes, Catalina 10.15.7 is the last compatible system

Perhaps if you can post a copy of the “Debug Info”. You can get it in Audirvana Settings>My account

I don’t use Upnp so don’t know if anything will jump out at users or support. However there are 2 lines of thought that have been discussed of late in relation to Max Memory Buffer. One is to use most of the memory available, the other is too use a smaller amount of somewhere between a quarter to a third of available memory.
Personally I use a third, so 8MB of 24MB.
Maybe try a reduced amount and see how it goes in the meantime.

Maybe also look to set this to yes.

Hopefully, you get back to uninterrupted music soon.

Hi Pierre I’m assuming that it may be in your DAC Settings specifically for the Lumin T2, but don’t know for sure.

You can click on either of the 2 circled Settings Wheels as indicated on the attached Screenshot to get to the DAC Settings. Perhaps look at the Marantz settings as well to see if there are any different options.

Hi @pierrest,

Can you go into the Audirvāna settings and in the My Account section? You will see a ‘Start Log Session’ button; click on it and reproduce your issue. After you reproduce it, click 'Stop Log Session’ and send me the audirvana_studio.log file you can find by clicking the 'Open Log Folder’ button at support@audirvana.com.

OK, here’s the log.

I see there is some problem with the Network, it speak about minim server, but i don’t think i use minimserver with Audirvana, it is wire connected to the music folder (which is on a Synology NAS DSD216play via smb), i use it with the other App like Lumin App,

Does your Lumin automatically reboot when you have this behavior?

No, it happens sometimes a “no network connection” is on the Lumin display, but it reconnet automatically, there is no reboot. But i checked and there was no message like this. It is maybe for a short time and AUdirvana became more sensitive to that? When i play through the Lumin App i do not have this kind of problems.

I have the Box from my provider where TV is conected and an other switch on my network to connect all the audio stuff

just after this cut, AUdirvana lost connection to Lumin (cannot see it anymore in the output avaible) and i do not have any message on the Lumin display.

Just to be sure, if you try to play WAV tracks on your device using the Lumin app or any other UPNP third-party app, do you get the same behavior?

I have this behaviour only with Audirvana. Playing Wav did not change anything. Never had this problem with third party application.

When i see this minim server in the log, i thought it could come form the third party app, so i took care to not have them open when playing with Audirvana.

I’m sorry about this situation. We will check this with Lumin. We want to talk with them at the High-End Show of Munich this year. I hope I have good news from them after the show.
