I agree with your opinions. there are so many imperfections …
The biography of artists are in so small characters on a colored background, impossible to read properly
the aac. streams of internet radio stations do not work
Lot of infos are missing on files which are played (or on the page of play list) especially the name of singers are missing, only the name of composer.
when compared to ROON a lot of things are missing
If these are not resolved within 30 days of trial period, I Think most of users like me will not buy this software
Thank you for pointing this out. I did do a comparison after the analysis was finally done, suspecting it’s deleterious effect, but still heard the same differences and have not opened Studio since. But thanks to you I shall revisit this—and also make sure to close each app before I run the other.
I did note, however, that while both versions were open and the analysis was running in Studio, the sync bar in 3.5 would flash as files were modified. Proof (if any was needed) that Studio was modifying the files themselves, not just its own library, and so affecting 3.5’s database as well. (To be clear, both apps were reading files from the same drive.)
Has there been any indication from @Antoine as to when we can expect the new remote? Since Sunday there have been hundreds, if not thousands of posts, and it’s hard to keep up so I may have missed it.
Thanks for reply. I would have thought the remote app is a fairly integral part of the Audirvana experience for most people. To not have a working remote available at launch of AS is pretty disappointing, and personally speaking I’d rather @Antoine truthfully told us when to expect the remote, even if it was going to be weeks rather than days. At least then it would stop me thinking/hoping that each day would bring news of an available remote app.
Yep. There are some other threads as well about serious bugs in AS (analyzing, crashes etc.). I still think that Damien is mostly a one man band. I can’t see his priority list, but I imagine that show stopping bugs have to be solved first.
Yes padraic that is my gut feeling as well, but if this is the case I think most people would rather hear that from @Antoine, and they would appreciate the honesty which is better than the uncertainty.
Well my problem did get much worse after the last upgrade Now I have to login into AS first at every fresh start of AS, then my library is scanned as at the very first start and finally, I have to re-login into Qobuz, whereas my Tidal credentials are preserved.
Moreover, now the system appears less stable, and I am regularly “loosing” my USB connected DAC and getting a message “the playback could not start”, I have to quit AS and start again, and the whole story repeats.
It is now completely unusable and I spent much more time fiddling how to play anything instead of enjoying the sound. This SW is really not ready for a commercial release at this point.
I know. But that partner seems more for sales and likely does not write code. I actually meant that Damien is probably the only programmer.
Also what strikes me a bit is that Damien seems the only one who responds on this forum and I never have seen answers from the other person (or I missed them). It would seem logical that the more ‘commercial’ person does the communication so that Damien can concentrate on the programming part.
Album/artist info likely comes from the Musicbrainz Id, we are trying to get rid off. This is probably what Damien meant with ‘enhancing’ the user experience. There is also a possibillity that this info is taken from a site like ‘last.fm’ (that site has the possibility to look up on artist name).
