Long time user of Audirvana here (3.5, Origin)…I really want to enjoy AS, especially now with all the development work that has gone into 3.0. I really like the access to radio stations, and streaming connectivity is a plus, although I don’t really use this. I’m hoping too that frequent updates are going to keep Studio alive and fresh (compared with AO?) in terms of UI (the sound is already top-notch) My only complaint with the UI is that I really don’t like having the sidebar sub-options listed at the top. I am constantly listening to ‘Recently added’ albums/tracks and now I have to select ‘Local>Recently Added’ when there is just wasted space in the sidebar where this option used to be…can we have the sidebar back, or at least an option to do so?
I would like to see that top menu bar be visible in all views.

Maybe it’s best to add this to the beta thread? Because as I read it you are participating in the 3.0 beta.
Actually, no…sorry if that was misleading. I was simply referencing that development work is in progress, so good things must be happening, and hopefully we can all enjoy the benefits. For me, I am using 2.99.18.
I still think that your suggestions could be posted there. The 2.99.18 is the 3.0 beta and even if it isn’t really a technical issue devs get the feedback on UI there as well. But in the end it may not be of any difference as they are reading this as well 
If you go to the playlist editor, you can pin the Recently Added playlist, which is done by default by the software (you need to hover the playlst name to see the pin button):

Thanks for clarifying that for me (I was wondering if I had received the Beta version when I downloaded AS last week, but the 2.99.18 number didn’t seem to suggest that I had)…and the good news is that Antoine sent me the solution, so the issue is solved
