Bascule en 16 bits

Bonjour,

From the Debug info it appears that only 16 bit is supported by the hardware. But it’s not entirely clear to me how you connected it and where the limitation comes from.

Hi Jacob,
I’ve connected my Mac book usb port to USBDAC M1clic musical fidelity (this hardware support 24 bits). it seems that it’s the usb port of mac…???

The USB from the CLiC is the limitation. If you want 24 bit and above 48khz you will need a USB to SPDIF converter.

When I looked at the M1 CLiC’s specifications, a couple of things surprised me right away. First, the USB DAC input on the rear is set up as a 16-bit/48kHz adaptive port, which strikes me as somewhat primitive in these days of 24/96 and higher USB sources. The alternative asynchronous USB connection, which lets the DAC clock the data out of the source, is the USB buzzword these days, but Musical Fidelity claims that minimizing jitter is taken care of by their own reclocking-and-upsampling process. [M1 CLiC owners can get an asynchronous USB connection operating up to 24/96 by adding Musical Fidelity’s V-Link, which Amazon was offering for $99 when we went to press.—Ed. ]

Or someting like this
https://www.musicdirect.com/equipment/ifi-micro-ilink-usb-to-spdif-converter

Or

Or ignore the Numbers and just listen some music.

You can try to stream to it using UPnP.

Hi … I’m sad … How do I take advantage of the 24 bits of qobuz with my M1clic without extra expense? I’v try to stream with UPNP… same issue 16 bits 192kHz with lots of sound cut…

About the cutting, you might be able to fix that by reducing the pre-load cache to 2000MB.

it’s 7000MB !!! :grinning:

It says 24bit.

With UPnP you will be able to try some and hope for luck. It can work fine, have limited functionality or be downright unstable.

ok… great …but it’s downright unstable.

Try the setting to switch raw PCM.

bitracer was before me

OK but I don’t understand why the input DAC, display 16-192 kHz… bottom right… see below my print screen…

You must have the upsampling on.

Have you been able to listen to Pink Floyd over UPnP or has it remained unstable after the raw data option?

I don’t know why the display shows 16 bit. Maybe @Antoine has an idea?

Bonjour @sr70, pouvez-vous allez dans les paramètres audio de Studio et faire une capture d’écran?

There were issues with the bit depth of the output of Audirvana two months ago that remained unclear.
@lucretius noticed that Audirvana displayed a bit depth output that did not match the bit depth of the stream that his DAC was receiving.
And we were also explained that the bit depth that Audirvana displays is the native bit depth of the DAC, and not the bit depth of the output of Audirvana.

All this remained quite confusing.

This list suggests that the Streamer in the CLiC only supports 16 bit

While this list does suggest that 24/192 is supported
