Changing files with different sample rate => Plop

Hello @icekill, can you change the sample rate in audio midi setup? Do you hear a pop from your DAC when you do it?

Hello Damien,
I have:
1 - closed Audirvana.
2 - Opened the Audio Midi setup on my Mac mini.
3 - Changed the max sample rate from 2 ch 24 bits/192hz to a lower value.
Result: No pop at all in any other value.

I have installed Jriver trial for Mac. There is no pop at all for any sample change.

Maybe that a good solution would be to implement a function to switch off the audio output during the sample rate change in Audirvana. It would save the tweeters…

Can you send me a copy of the “Debug Info”? You can get it in Audirvana Settings>General>Debug Info

Note: By clicking on the Debug Info button, Audirvana automatically copies all its content, all you have to do is paste it in response to this message

If you deactivate your plugin, do you still have the issue?

Yes, still poping with the effect disabled.

Can you try to disable Integer mode in the audio output settings of Audirvana?

Interger mode is now disabled.
1st try leads Audirvana to sound a very bad noise into my speakers.
3 other tries made Audirvana bug and quit brutally (with the report to send to Apple).
Not good!

Can you send us the latest report generated at support@audirvana.com?

I have sent you the report.

I listen to everything modulated to DSD128 via SoX and I listen to raw binaural DSDxxx… The only ‘ticks’ I get are from bad editing of a DSD master file, between tracks…

Just adding some insight to your subjective observation… :sunglasses:

What is important is to look at the numbers of users that don’t have the problems you are so certain about, and why and where you believe they emanate… If you accept the fact that others do not have these problems, you may look beyond the myopia of your perspective and find a resolution to your experience…
