Convolver plugin -pops and clicks

using mzconvolverEZ plugin as recommended ,unfortunately even with SysOptimizer on EXTREME and everything disabled, lots of clicks coming from opening up web pages or navigating around the mac .

…just wondering when reading this kind of questions, and there are a lot in the forum, if there is just ONE solution or “problem case” for poppin and clicking? Like: too less ram memory. Or, just switch this or that option on or of?

Maybe it is possible to get an header in the menu of the forum; poppin/clicking…white noise distortion.
So we can read and find answers before asking?

Good point Steve,in this case i suspect that because the plugin is outside of AV ,SysOptimizer has no effect on it,it would also be nice if ADMINISTRATION WOULD ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THEY HAVE READ AND/OR ARE DEALING WITH THE ISSUE,so we wouldent have to keep repeating the fault .

I think you can find answers more easily if you search for it in the forum, am i right?

Hi Damien3…
I think it would be easier for you; the people of audirvana, you wouldn’t have to repeat the same questions to solve the problem.
And for us ;we don’t have to ask, explain, try, reply…

I don’ t wanna make problems, i wanna solve them Damien3… I bought a license and wanna use it to come as close to a perfect sound reproduction of my music…in this case without clickin and poppin.

I love audirvana, i hate the fact is has a lot of bugs.
Let solve them together, less questions more answers.

NO !
Thats why i posted the question/problem …lets cut out the middle man, and you tell me the solution… …
NO plugin = no clicks from other apps .
Convolution Plugin on = clicks from other apps .
Dont start questioning memory,PSU supply ,RAM ,usb connections, upsampling etc .
SysOptimizer is not extreme enough surely ?

Hello bazzweb,

Do you have pops or clicks with the Convolution plugin enabled and without any other app?
If you are using MConvolutionEZ you are probably on Windows OS, Windows 10?

I use computers with professional audio software. And recent operating systems are more and more difficult to secure (without clicks or drops). Especially the latest windows 10. We need to disable a lot of background tasks and services.

And we never use other apps on our workstations when we need to produce sound. Especially internet applications which use high CPU priority.

Your problems are probably with Windows, other applications and / or MConvolutionEZ.

A computer is a multi-tool, but it cannot do everything at the same time. Windows is not a real-time operating system.

What is the frequency rate of the files you play and IR files you use ?
If there are in differents rates, MConvolutionEZ must resample.

In my configuration (Mac + LAConvoler) I have 96 kHz IR files and I use the
audirvana oversampling for all frequencies rate of my files (44.1 kHz to DSD252)
Maybe it will work better to use Audirvana resampling than letting MConvolutionEZ do the resampling?

Be careful when using plug-ins and resampling, it may cause clipping.

no i dont use windows, no i dont over sample, no i dont use a switchmode power supply ,no i dont use any other plugins,i havent run out of RAM .
Yes a was a pro Recording engineer for 20 years (Abbey rd, etc ) so i can read a meter !!
Silence from AV…

Can you send me a copy of the “Debug Info”? You can get it in Audirvana Settings>General>Debug Info

Note: By clicking on the Debug Info button, Audirvana automatically copies all its content, all you have to do is paste it in response to this message

Can you lower the maximum amount of RAM being used by Audirvana to 4000MB? Can you also disable Software volume control?

Yes this does improve with opening web pages or Apps, but i get a massive click if i open Mac system prefs or Finder.
Aside from that, reducing the RAM level has given me a huge increase in Sound Quality !! i cant belive it,layers of extra detail and tightened up the bass …Cheers.

Solved,Its -Real time Control-when on and the app on view -pops and clicks .
