As above. Liking the many UI changes and the integrated DSP (EQ, crossfeed, balance) is working fine for me. I do however occasionally use VST3 plugins and am experiencing dropouts with just about all of them. So, just reporting that to see if others are experiencing the same and/or have found a fix.
How much platform System RAM do you have and how much is allocated for playback preload memory? It is possible the demand on your system resources has increased with the version 3.0 DSP..

Thanks for the response - I have 32g in the machine I use as a server and 4 is allocated for preload. I believe I did briefly try dropping that down to 2g with no change. Windows reports that my memory usage when Audirvana is running is around 15-16%, I can check that again but itās for sure well under 20%. CPU usage bounces around but also super-low, as is network. I should add that I mainly only use VST for eq plugins, so given the addition of the integral equalizer module this is not a huge crisis by any means, but all my VST EQ plugins worked fine before the upgrade.
What happens when the plug-in(s) are removed? ⦠It is possible that the gain structure through the plug-in module has changed and the gain-staging of the plug-in(s) must be readjusted/managed⦠To test after removing the plug-in(s), insert one plug-in at a time to get a baseline reference or reveal where the distortion beginsā¦

I had experimented with that last night, didnāt seem to make a difference. But: Just now I set the buffer to exactly 4gb, enabled processing (with only the equalizer enabled) and re-enabled plugins. have streamed 4-5 tracks at bitrate up to DSD 256, and now it seems to be OK. So, really not sure what was going on yesterday. But hopefully we can write this off as one of those transitory mystery-glitches. If not, I will experiment further and update. Thank you for your help!!!
⦠and I was wrong, I am still getting dropouts when VST plugins are enabled in Audirvana, even without any of the plugins being active. RAM, CPU usage are extremely minimal. All equipment has been rebooted, and this worked fine before the 3.0 upgrade. Not a disaster for me but I do hope the team looks at this. I have removed all plugins except one, and that one is set to -3db gain, so presumably gain isnāt the issue. BTW also, about 1/3rd of the time when I add or remove plugins, Audirvana crashes.
HI @Abuhannibal ,
Can you send us a copy of the "Debug Infoā when you have this issue? You can get it in Audirvana Settings>My account.
Note: When you click on the Debug Info button, Audirvana automatically copies all its content. Please paste it in response to this message.
Antoine, thank you, will do!
PS just to eliminate possibilities and gain knowledge, I want to try it first with another upnp device. Stay tuned.
Wasnāt sure if you wanted the debug file from before or after - this one is after, I also have before, and a log file from when the dropouts happened. Audirvana Studio 3.0.0 (30000)

Can you send a screenshot of the settings you have in AudirvÄna Studio EQ?
PS just to eliminate possibilities and gain knowledge, I want to try it first with another upnp device. Stay tuned.
What firmware version is in your ifi zen stream?
offrode, I think it is the latest, unless they have released their much-awaited upgrade very recently, but I will verify.
They just did very recently. The new version is 3.00.9 if you have a version 2 stream you contact iFi support and theyāll send you a link to update it.
It will not just update via internet. Dropouts were a big issue for some users but for some reason mine was ok, strange deal.
Towards the bottom of the thread.
Thanks, I am at 2.3.17. Will update but it might be Monday before I get to this. Meanwhile I will see if the problem occurs when streaming to my PS Audio Airlens and report back in a bit.
OK it does exactly the same thing with the Airlens.
Ouch, sorry to hear that. AudirvÄna and upnp is often a crap shoot. Letās see what else jumps out in your debug. The iFi jumped out to me right away.

will do. But: Both the Airlens and Zen Stream worked just fine before the 3.0 upgrade.
