Erratic playback behaviour

I’ve got lots of issues playing tracks in Audirvana. Sometimes it just skips a track and starts the next, and sometimes it skips parts of the track in the middle of a song. Also plays the same track again when I skip to the next track. Very often it stops playback after a track, and I have to manually start the next one.
Surprised to see how many bugs this software has after so many years of development.

Hello @rubjel, The audio playback do not only rely on Audirvana, it also rely on your DAC and how you are connected to it. Thus I would need more information to help you.
Can you send me a copy of the “Debug Info”? You can get it in Audirvana Settings>General>Debug Info

HI there.

I have just paid for my Audirvana subscription and having similar issues to the user above. Essentially I can play one or two tracks with no issues and then the software stops working and freezes. If I skip a track it sometimes just repeats the same track again etc. It may be that I have incorrect settings etc but it all seems to work correctly using Roon or Linn Kazoo etc. I use an IMAC and have a Linn DSM as my streaming device.

Hi Damien, I only use the Sotm streamer. Streaming from Audirvana on my laptop to the sotm via upnp.
This works perfectly with both Roon from my laptop and Bubbleupnp on my android phone.

In your debug info I see that you have selected ASIO4All, can you select your SoTm instead and send the debug info again?

Hi, yes I would except my trial expired a week ago unfortunately.
I’d love to have Audirvana, but with all the issues I experienced I think a lifetime subscription is a bit too much. I wish there was a one year option.

I don’t know if this says anything about the issues I’ve been having.
Today the issues are:

Will not skip to next track
Skips 5-10 first seconds of some tracks, and often skips a few seconds in the middle of tracks
Tidal and my playlists are suddenly not available anymore after browsing the settings in Audirvana,
they show up on the left side but no tracks are found.
I regularly have to log in to Tidal, loses connection
Sometimes will not play when I click the play button

I appreciate the new trial period I was given to identify the issues. Hopefully they can be resolved because I really like the sound quality I get from Audirvana.

Another thing;

Sometimes playback stops before end of track.
Also will not automatically continue playing next track in a playlist.

I think you should consider contacting Sotm about this issue because we previously had other feedback from users about their device and the UPnP implementation. We will contact them about it on our side but feel free to ask them if they are working on it.

Maybe you could try to re-burn eunhasu on a new sd card … my sms200 Neo is working fine (Audirvana on Mac)
