Getting a little hiss on my speakers

I do believe the hiss is coming from my macbook… anyone know how to reduce or totally get rid of it?

Hello @speedymoonman,

Can you send me a copy of the “Debug Info”? You can get it in Audirvana Settings>General>Debug Info

Note: By clicking on the Debug Info button, Audirvana automatically copies all its content, all you have to do is paste it in response to this message

Thank you Damien3

Does it also happens when you use your Schiit?

I guess so… this how I connect it it MacBook Pro+ audio quest USB + schiit modi 3 + audio quest RCA to Rouge Sphinx V2

Do you have this hiss when you try to play a track from Music for example?

yes but hardly noticeable… when I go close to the speakers I can hear it when music is playing.

Does your Mac can be updated to a more recent version of MacOS?

can’t be updated anymore :sob: my MacBook is kinda old already but I’m running on High Sierra

If you deactivate Integer mode in Audirvana audio settings, do you still have this hiss?

where can I find the integer mode? : )

In the audio device capacity

Damien I’m really sorry and really appreciate you helping me out :grinning: but I don’t think I have " Audio Device Capacity" ? :grinning: do I need an update? :grinning:

@speedymoonman How is the Magni powered? This doesn’t sound like an Audirvana problem so much as the power feeding the DAC. This happens on my Topping E30 if I power it from USB from my computer when a track starts to play (as in the DAC kicks in and becomes active) and completely disappears when I used the USB 5V 2A port on my power bar (which also has an iFi iPurifier AC plugged in for active noise cancelation and conditioning).

Hello @speedymoonman,

Here:

ok thank you I’ll try this one :grinning:

Hi David thank for the suggestion will also try this :grinning:

weird still no " integer mode "

Do you have your Schiit selected in Audirvana?
