How to switch audio channel display in Audirvana?

Looks it always lists multi-channel in Audirvana. How can I change the stereo channel to play? (need to display the stereo audio list)

How to change 5 ch. to stereo like below,
截屏2023-01-28 00.11.29

system: MacOS Ventura 13.1
output interface: USB
output device: Sennheiser HDVD 800

nobody can answer? or it doesn’t support to change only by playing the default multi-channel?

You’ve gone into the DAC settings? You need to post up your debug and setup details so that we might understand what’s happening.

Is that recording in 5 channels? Looks like your file is in 5. channels not 2 channel
Oddly HRA doesn’t show a 5.1 mix for this album but does show her other albums in surround sound on SACD.

Thanks for response. Give you another same sample which has stereo and 6 CH. But it only displays the 6 CH. playing list in Audirvana, in which there are only 3 tracks. How can I switch to display the stereo track list?

(p.s. the popup white window is another application to show the ISO contents.)
6 CH. has 3 tracks; stereo has 11. But only show 6 CH. track in Audirvana. why?

Also DAC setup FYI.

Hello @alon , I wanted to get the ball rolling for you. I’m not well enough versed in SACD ripping and the proper metadata etc. Here’s one I found with a quick search, hopefully we get some more feedback from the community. How did you rip the disks, what format? How have you edited their metadata? Do some more digging with the search engine as I know that some of these questions have already been asked and solved previously

Best of luck with getting it sorted.

Hey @OffRode , appreciate your sharing. Yes, it looks we both have the same request to

place an easily accessible switch/choice to set Audirvana to filter only on stereo | 5 CH. | 6 CH. | etc. | all together?

though we have different scenarios.

My temporary solution is to remove the multi-channel tracks in ISO via a third-party tool. Then Audirvana can identify the stereo tracks which are remained. Meanwhile I can also update the metadata via the same tool.

The tools interface below FYI

Very good, sometimes the path of least resistance is the one to take!

Have a great weekend

@alon @OffRode … It makes perfect sense that you would need to separate .dsf or .dst files for both the 2-channel and 5.1 multi-channel areas of the .iso file… I extract the stereo and the 5.1 areas as separate folders… I have created a new topic in the Lounge for those that are ripping their personal library of SACDs: Ripped or Ripping SACDs? https://community.audirvana.com/t/ripped-or-ripping-sacds/36254
:notes: :eye: :headphones: :eye: :notes:

@Agoldnear Yes, it’s also a way to separate the different channel by ripping the ISO.

By the way, I cannot access the URL you posted, https://community.audirvana.com/t/ripped-or-ripping-sacds/36254. Would you advise which APP in MacOS could be used to separate DSF or DST?

May any official engineers give the response or feedback?

The sample rate and channel you see here

is the actual sample rate and channel of the track you have in this folder. This does not mean however that it will play at DSD 64 5ch unless you have a DAC that can do so. If you play this track to a Stereo device (like the one you selected), it won’t play the file on 5 channel but Stereo.

Hi @Antoine , I guess you don’t catch my point. Let me try to reclarify.
#1 My SACD-ISO have 2 types of channel tracks (stereo + 6 CH.)
#2 Audirvana has only showed 6 CH. tracks (Yes, it plays in stereo even the tracks in 6 CH.)
#3 how can I see my stereo tracks? Sometimes the tracks in stereo and 5 ch. are different. like this one. In this case, it means I can only play 3 tracks in 6 ch., no 11 tracks in stereo.
diff_racks

So my question is how to switch to stereo tracks list in Audirvana and play stereo tracks?

Hi @alon,

I think I better understand what you need, when you are in your album, you can add columns to it. If you add the number of Audio Channels, you should now be able to differentiate your Stereo and Multichannel tracks.
