Software freezes

Hi, I would like ti buy the software, but often/sometimes it freezes while starting/using. This makes me nervous and it’s so sad in light of this wonderful software…

This could depends on which computer you are using, if you are upsampling, if yes to pcm or dsd (the latter very cpu intensive), if the archive synchronization is ended or not (quite cpu intensive too).
In my experience while playing the computer shouldn’t do anything else. Try to start taking care of the synchronization process and wait until it is ended, then try to play disabling upsampling. This can help you to understand when the performances will start to degrade.

Damien the software locks up 5 to 10 seconds after start up for this 3.5.37. I don’t know if people are able to access the debug button. It seems you must kill Audirvana from the task menu to get Windows to respond again. While locked up the cursor is able to be moved about but left or right click is not functional. Settings are not accessible.

UPDATE 2: And it takes several clicks to get the program open from the taskbar. Just restarted the computer; the program opened first click this time, but then froze after 4-5 seconds in the very same way. All this started right after I paid and registered a few days ago.

I just paid for my subscription after using the trial version for a month less a day. Now, a few minutes after I paid, the program opens but then instantly freezes with no images for albums/artists (just the blue version with names but no images). After, closing it, it won’t open up again.

Though it’s probably less convenient, switch to album view, instead of artists. See if program opens now. You may have to play a file, or wait a few minutes to switch back to artists view, to find a particular album. You will also have to switch back to album view before you close down Audirvana or the problem will occur again when you open Audirvana again. At least in my case this problem only occurs when you open Audirvana in artist view.

Curious…starting in album view (by closing in album view) instead of artists does seem to work. A little less convenient, but easy enough to do. Thanks!

This problem annoys the hell out of me. Of course artist view is the most convenient. This needs fixed. Problem was never there until 3.5.37.

Yes, I used Audirvana for the first free month (always with artist view) and then this issue started up about a week or so ago, right after I paid my registration. Strange it wasn’t just freezing but also refusing to start!

Has a solution being found yet? I’m having similar problem - Audirvana starts up on Windows 10 but after 6 to 8 seconds, albums art blank out (only artist’s names can be seen) and the program become unresponsive (no response to mouse or keyboard). But Audirvana works as normal through the iOS app on my iPad

This problem still persists, only when in Artist view.
If started in album view it works fine but as noted artist view is far more helpful.

Hello,
I`m new to Audirvana - just trying and amazed by sound (upsampled FLAC to my network player Yamaha WXAD-10) but stability and response on Windows is horrible. Freezing after start, crash during playback. When I want to change track during payback from remote, I need to stop playback first and then search for another. Are You going to fix it any soon? Not going to buy with such bugs - needs IT specialist to run such program.
