Still difficult to use since now i have a terrible background noise when i stream QOBUZ files with UPNP protocol but all is fine when i play my local files .sometimes it happens also when i stream Tidal files …radio streams works 2 seconds and stop !!!..
i am lost and will return to 3;5 Audirvana classic since without any solution i will not subscribe !!

il faut aller sur le symbole entonnoir pour avoir l éditeur de filtres et trouver les genres a sélectionner

Wow! Congrats Damien. This sound quality improvement is what i have been trying to achieve via hardware upgrades. Theres more texture, tone, separation and sustain PRAT and more. Ed.

Appart of the trial, has anyone tried to actually purchase the AS already? The web site seems to miss “buy” functionality and the links to Account Management seem to be broken. But perhaps I am missing something.

When playing an album to the end, the last seconds of the last track are cut off.

This hasn’t changed since v3.5… I started the following popular thread:

Audirvana has shown no signs of fixing this terrible bug, other than to say, turn off your upscaling, which doesn’t work for many nor for streaming service users.

Sigh…

Hear hear. I have been using Audirvana since before 1.5 was an upgrade. Always it has been superior to any other sort of delivery to a DAC, based on the resolution of what comes out my speakers. Now there has been an audible downturn, except perhaps for Windows users, who maybe can still find manna in their wilderness. I am enjoying 3.5 right now, listening to Joao Gilberto, and do not wish any longer to touch the Studio app, at least until Damien answers for these choices for music lovers on Mac in particular, and announces remedies. Long may the compatibility of 3.5 last with Mac OS; but I also am reconsidering my options.

After several A-B comparisons between AS n 3.5 - its like having two different dac’s . AS is aptly named - resolution and ‘audiophile’ impressive whilst 3.5 is more relaxing, warmer. I can live with both- depending on the recording.

I’m also using Audirvana since Audirvana Plus 1.5.
I did not upgrade to A 3.5, but remained with A+ 2.5, because A3.5 did not include some features that I needed, so I had to check other players.
Now I’m back to check AS.

I’m on macOS Big Sur and A+ 2.5 still runs fine. So I don’t think you should be worried with incompatibility issues in the foreseeable future.

I left Studio on overnight to complete analyzing my small 7500 tracks library. It never completed and it crashed just now. Funny that after I relaunched, it now sees most, but still not all, my UPnP endpoints.

I would be very interested in hearing from the developers what changes they made in the player algorithms, especially on Mac, because to my ears it is not a subtle difference and definitely not an improvement over 3.5. I’m willing to be patient as the development team works through the debugging of what is clearly a beta version, but I have no interest in subscribing to the AS app if this is the new direction in sound quality for Audirvana.

Hey, you all are right. It is a mess and it seems that Damien has opened the can of pandora.
So much trouble with the streaming services, wow. I will postpone the Studio until better times. Today I tried amazon HD and extremeHD, both sound pretty well on my audio system, and this with the amazon application program for PCs. No Audirvana used.
Upon all of the feedback on Studio Trial it seems a big problem to handle the streaming providers within Studio. For me, let this stuff out and deliver a Studio LITE for local stored music files only. But I fear that the intention to play with the big boys will perhaps end in disaster.

Noticed when I activate forced upsampling to my CXN over UPNP ALL files play well. So without upsampling normal files don’t play, anybody a clue ?

At least with 3.5 I check for updates manually. So I can see the changes before updating.
