You can’t do that with DSD. Both volume control and plugins need to be disabled.

I would let the DAC do it’s thing without upsampling. It’s a special one.
So i shoould go back to 128?

You can try if that sounds better to you. This thing already uses Ted Smith’s algorithms. It’s hard to improve on that. But tastes are tastes…

Just disable upsampling and it will play bit-perfect to the DAC. Your DAC will then upsample it to 10xDSD and then downsample it to 2xDSD, pass it through discrete low-pass filter circuit and you get music.
