That is a bit of a presumption… What if @Jud is very familiar with the remaster? … I am presuming that he is already familiar with this recording.

Depends ! The first disc with the original track list is the 2011 remaster, nothing new there (and it was already a conservative remaster).
But the track Shine On You Crazy Diamond (parts 1-9) of the 50th anniversary second disc is a totally new stereo mix, and quite different from the orignal (like 2018 mix of Animals, even further), indeed much clearer (the voices, the guitars are less “melt” for example, for better or worse).
When importing file directories, some cover images are not imported correctly, and when I add them (one by one), it causes significant network traffic that blocks the application for several minutes. When the network traffic ends, the application resumes normally…
In the playlist overview sometimes the title of the track is completely wrong and chosen from tracks in the beginning of the playlist.
When you play these tracks with faulty names then the correct name appears underneath and also the correct track is played. The overview list is then correct.
When you leave the playlist en enter it again then some other faulty track titels are displayed also the one which was just corrected by playing the track.
Has this something to do with the length of the playlist?
I would like to see some reaction from audirvana how to solve this problem.
If some more clarification is needed please ask.

@antoine: I get pretty jealous about all the problems here, I will have to read them once more later. The file comes up too low in my screen, in the thumbnail I can see that down there, there is an OK icon. I cannot get there on screen so, I’m stuck. How to solve this? I have an HP 8470p with intel HD 4000 GPU.

Feedback type: missing feature
The alphabetical shortcut sidebar is missing from countless views in the Tidal, Radios, Podcasts and other sections. This function is available in the Albums view of the Favorites section, but it does not work properly and is positioned in the wrong place.
For example, clicking on the letter M gives the following results:
Sidenote: I am not a native English speaker, the text above was translated to English using AI.
Absolutely. Plus, if there’s any way to scroll through a given letter, I cannot find it. Therefore, all I “see” in each letter are the first few (or last few) rows of a letter. I have not found any way to actually scroll through each letter if there are more than 5 rows, for instance.
Multi-select would be very helpful as well, but I don’t think that is available either.
Oceanaudio determined the following for the entire song:
Minimum sample value -32393 / -32768
Maximum sample value +32767 / +32395
Sample peak -0.00 dBFS / -0.00 dBFS
Possible clipped samples 25 / 38
This overdrive must already be present on the CD, because there were no errors with dBpoweramp CD Ripper and XLD and test CRC with AccourateRipp!
Without configured filters, you can’t hear this in Audirvana Studio either, and cross-checking with JRiver Media Center 35 with exactly the same filter configuration also revealed nothing.
Nothing audible when played this CD on a CD player either!
Does Audirvana’s filtering tend to overshoot? A filter of 8kHz, -3dB, Q 2.8 is not complicated!
With the output gain set to -0.5 dB, there is no more overdrive!
Please check your algorithms to see if there is a bug.
I know this is not a permanent solution, but temporarily changing the screen scaling or screen resolution in your Windows settings might help. Maybe you need to restart Audirvana after that to take effect.
Inter Sample Peaks (ISP) are common in digital-audio masters.. The article linked below is a good place to start, regarding ISP’s…
Typically clipping distortion is produced when the headroom of the DAC platform is overloaded… Some DAC platforms have more headroom than others…
Also, we still see that you have not enabled ‘Auto’ gain control in the equalizer module. You are adding bits to the digital-audio signal when you make adjustments (either boost or cut) to the file…
Step 8: Output Gain & Clipping Protection
Before moving forward, let’s take a moment to understand how Output Gain and Clipping Protection work in Audirvāna’s EQ, especially if you’ve noticed this while boosting frequencies :
“Why does the music sometimes get quieter when I raise a frequency band?”
This is a great observation, and the answer lies in Audirvāna’s built-in clipping protection, managed by the Autofunction.
Output Gain, Auto Switch, and the Master Output
On the right-hand side of the EQ bottom panel, you’ll find:
- The Output Gain knob
- The Auto switch
- The master On/Off toggle for the whole EQ
These control how your final audio signal is managed after it passes through the EQ.
What Does Auto Do?
The Auto switch is designed to protect your signal from clipping, a form of distortion that occurs when your audio signal gets too loud and exceeds 0 dBFS (decibels relative to full scale), the maximum level allowed in digital audio.
Whenever you boost a band, you’re adding energy to the mix. This extra gain could easily push your Output above 0 dB without any correction, causing unwanted distortion.
So when Auto is ON, Audirvāna automatically reduces the Output Gain (the volume at which your song is fed into the EQ) to keep the final signal within safe limits.
For example:
If you raise a band by +24 dB, Audirvāna will lower the Output Gain by -24 dB.
This keeps the master output — the final volume level leaving the EQ — safely below clipping.Try This Yourself:
Play your track with the EQ on
- Turn OFF the Auto switch.
- Set Output Gain to 0 dB — the song’s original volume.
- Boost one or two bands.
- You’ll likely hear a harsh, distorted sound. That’s clipping.
Now:
- Turn Auto back ON.
- You’ll see the Output Gain drop automatically to compensate.
- The sound is clean again — no more distortion.
This is Auto in action. It ensures you can experiment freely with EQ without damaging your mix or ears.
How to use the integrated Studio equalizer (EQ)?

Welcome…
The Alphabetical shortcut sidebar has always been an approximation of the hierarchy… it has never been an exact function… just a quick way to get within the vicinity of the content you are searching for.

That may be so but it feels that it is much more accurate in the released V2 version.
is there any way I can get rid of this lavender color?
![]()
thx for the link. that is a NO, so to say.
then I would like to make that a feature request: (I assume stuff is reading here): make the second color a choice…
Have tried a convolution filter (From HouseCurve that did about 18 months ago) in the Beta Version and it is working extremely well.
@Antoine Trust you are enjoying your break. For me, i’m not having any issues, everything that i use regularly has been tried and tested. Thanks to the team for great job. Hope any issues that others are experiencing can be covered off on and look forward to the new release in time. ![]()
Each newly added file has a low resolution image. I change that to the image in the file and sometimes it changes, sometimes it reverts to low resolution. In this instance saving seems to have held high resolution…
In Settings Local , my folders have different information. Top one has Man… seems not to Automatically Sync on new file added, nor sync at startup as requested.
SOUNDS ALWAYS FANTASTIC
Here’s another one added years ago… Resolution changed since Latest Audirvana Beta. Opening these in Origin the resolution is high.

Translate I right?
I run “Automatisch“ before and it clipped.
The best way would be if I could send you the piece of music I am using here as an example via the cloud. I would have access to the cloud for this, but only for private use.
It’s strange that this doesn’t happen with your competitors using exactly the same filter settings.
It also doesn’t happen when EQ is activated in Audirvana but no filter is set up, frequency response flat.
One more thing, you can see that the message appears briefly and the line turns red, and you hear a crackling sound.
Outside, the music plays perfectly.
I hope that’s clear!
That’s right for me also. Odd behaviour. I’ve added six albums today, each one I needed to update image… using the exact-same image in the file. Annoying but I still say the sound is still excellent.
It’s a glitch.
I’ll keep an eye on it and send message to support after hols.
